Every religion or doctrine has a foundation and a methodology; from these, they derive their visions, concepts, and issues. Its foundation lies in its cognitive source of knowledge, and the benefit of this source will not be realized except through the methodology by which the means of derivation and inference are regulated. This is what has been achieved for this glorious Sharia, for it was built upon the foundation of revelation, and it guided to the true methodology of inference.

 

Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah undertook to highlight this reference and clarify the correct tools through which a sound understanding of it can be achieved, especially with the early deviation in these two matters.
