Revival of the Religious Sciences by Al-Ghazali10/1
The Imam and Mujtahid, Hujjat al-Islam, Zayn al-Din Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali al-Shafi'i (455-505 AH)
Verification by:
The Scientific Committee at Dar Al-Minhaj Center for Studies and Scientific Verification
Printed and published for the first time, verified against approximately twenty manuscripts.
The consensus among senior scholars is that Imam Al-Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him, is undeniably the renewer of the fifth century.
Likewise, the pens of fair-minded individuals have agreed that the book "Al-Ihya" lives up to its name, as Al-Hafiz Al-Iraqi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: (It is one of the most important books of Islam in understanding what is lawful and unlawful. It combines the apparent rulings and delves into the profound secrets that are difficult to comprehend. It did not limit itself to mere branches and issues, nor did it delve so deeply into the abyss that returning to the shore becomes impossible. Rather, it blended both the exoteric and esoteric sciences).
It is enough for its author that he holds the title Hujjat al-Islam (Proof of Islam); because he succeeded in reconciling reason and tradition, a distinction few have given attention to, and because he never encountered a doubt without resolving it, exposing its flaws, and clarifying it.
Among Allah's blessings upon those working at this institution is that they collected about twenty manuscripts from around the world to verify the book; until it emerged shining in the garments of verification and meticulous checking, free from the blemish of alteration and textual error.
Especially since the comparison of manuscripts was carried out by a specialized committee in heritage verification and its scientific production, benefiting both scholars and students.
They spared no effort in attributing its texts, tracing its traditions and reports, and referring them to the books that the Imam's hands used to turn; from the Musnad archaeological parts and the ascetic books of subtle matters, which have often been overlooked and neglected.
And suffice it to say that the author described his book as "The Great Alchemy of Happiness"; and he characterized its seekers as prominent scholars, in addition to those who wander and delight in its gardens.
The publishing house has been keen on creativity in the artistic presentation in terms of paper quality, selection of the appropriate vocalized font, adorned with artistic frames, and writing all the book's headings in beautiful handwritten calligraphy.
