He also refuted Ibn Hazm for his opposition to the Ash'ari doctrine. Ibn al-Arabi was distinguished by his profound knowledge in Hadith, Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), Arabic language, and Kalam. One of the most important features of his jurisprudential and theological works is his reliance on the texts of the noble revelation in establishing doctrines and providing evidence for them.
