Al-Niffari's "Mawāqif and Mukhātabāt" is one of the most original and enigmatic Sufi texts, representing a unique spiritual experience in the history of Sufism. The book consists of a collection of "Mawāqif" (Stations) where the servant is "halted" before his Lord, and "Mukhātabāt" (Addresses) that he receives in that divine presence.
