The science of inheritance (Al-Fara'id) is a field of immense benefit and importance, as it forms the basis of inheritance laws and is the cornerstone of estate division. It is considered one of the most noble and honorable Islamic sciences. Among those renowned in this field was the eminent scholar and jurist (Al-Fardhi) whose expertise in inheritance led him to leadership in his time: Sheikh Shihab al-Din Ahmed, known as Ibn al-Ha'im.
