We found scattered parts that fulfill the requirement, which we clarified in the introduction. We benefited from this incomplete manuscript copy in correcting some errors in the lithograph edition and in rectifying omissions. Therefore, we disregarded mentioning most of the differences between the printed and manuscript versions. This copy is in the handwriting of the commentator al-Zabidi, written in a good Persian script, with 20-25 lines per page. Many lines have been struck through, in addition to what the author added or corrected in the margin. The commentator distinguished the text of Al-Ihya by placing a line above it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2 – The editor compared al-Zabidi's text with the texts of the sources from which he quoted, and mentioned the differences between them when necessary. This was facilitated by the fact that most of the book's material consists of quotations from major circulating books. Any deficiencies or omissions from these sources that were essential to the context were placed between square brackets [...]. 3 – In the footnotes, he mentioned the sources from which al-Zabidi quoted and authenticated their texts. He limited himself to printed books, excluding manuscripts unless absolutely necessary, and mentioned the volume and page number and the name of the edition for easy reference when needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e4 – He referenced the Quranic verses within the text.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e5 – He referenced the Prophetic hadiths (marfu'), the sayings of the Companions, and the statements of the Tabi'in and those who came after them. As for the marfu' hadiths, he generally limited himself to the sources mentioned by al-Zabidi, and did not add to them except when necessary, such as attributing to a lost source or finding an additional benefit or other reasons. He sufficed with the volume and page number without the name of the book, chapter, and hadith number, intending to be concise. As for the sayings of the Companions, the statements of the Tabi'in, philosophers, Sufi masters, and others, and the anecdotes mentioned in the book, he mostly attributed them to their isnad-supported sources, or to non-isnad-supported sources occasionally. There are a number of sayings, statements, and anecdotes that he did not find in other than Al-Ihya.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e6 – The editor referenced the poems quoted by al-Ghazali or added by al-Zabidi. If a poem was in a famous diwan, he sufficed by attributing it to it. If the poet was known but his poetry was not collected in a diwan, or if the attribution of the poem was disputed, he referenced it from books of language, literature, history, and biographies. If the author was unknown, the editor stated: \"I could not find its author.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e7 – The editor explained many scientific terms and names of countries mentioned in the book to complete the benefit and follow the modern scientific methodology. In doing so, he referred to contemporary sources and clarified the names of countries and their current locations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e8 – He supplied the phrases that al-Zabidi did not mention from the text of Al-Ihya, so that the text would be complete without any deficiencies or flaws. In correcting the text of Al-Ihya, he relied on the text in the margin of Al-Ithaf in the Maymaniyah edition and the Dar al-Minhaj edition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e9 – He pointed out some scientific errors made by al-Zabidi, whether in referencing hadiths, biographies of prominent figures, or correcting their names, and so on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e10 – The honorable brothers, Othman al-Nabulsi and Muhammad al-Sheikh Hussein, reviewed the entire book, referring to manuscript parts that were not available to the editor, and provided a biography of al-Ghazali along with al-Zabidi's biography.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e11 – The editor provided a brief biography of Imam al-Zabidi, and included two biographies for those who wish to delve deeper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e12 – The publishing house fully indexed the book. **Note: The table of contents for each book is attached at the end of the book. The detailed index for the book will be published separately at the Cairo International Book Fair. Readers can purchase the book with or without the detailed index, as the indexes are in 3 large volumes (index of verses, hadiths, sayings, and prominent figures).
